Carrigans 1821
[In Killea] Carrigans and Newtownhamilton are the principal towns, the former containing 49 houses and 246 inhabitants, the latter 19 houses and 99 of a population. --- The farmers of this parish, who are 65 in number, complain much of their rate of tithe. The incumbent for the time being is the Revd Samuel Law of Ashgrove in the vicinity of Carrigans.
