Sadie Browne - Gormley married name (died 2012) - makes a playful slap at the Donkey ridden by Paul Curran in 1980.
The FoodMarket in the background was popularly just called Golden's and a Fish and Chip shop was facilitated plus an amusements. The shop was then run by Martin and Mary Golden. A notice in the window was advertising Green Shield Stamps. You got a stamp when you spent a certain amount of money and you put your stamp in a book. When enough were collected you got a free gift. It was an incentive to shoppers.
