Rabbit Hunters at Kinnycally

These photos were taken in the early 1980's and are an excellent portrayal of the once popular pastime of "ferreting" - putting a ferret into rabbit holes to get the rabbits out so that they could be hunted and killed.  Ferreting was a big thing in the days when rabbit stew was a local delicacy and a luxury!
