DONEGAL PRIEST IN U.S. CELEBRATES SILVER JUBILEE
Rev. Joseph Diver, Chicago, eldest son of Mr Daniel Diver, Crieve House, Carrigans, the well-known pure-bred livestock breeder, and the late Mrs Diver, has celebrated the Silver Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood.
Father Diver was ordained at All Hallows College in 1938. At a testimonial dinner held in his honour in the Keyman's Ballroom in Madison Street, Chicago, the jubilarian was accompanied by his father, who flew 3,000 to be present.
There were more than 200 guests present, and all had a most enjoyable evening.
